It was my very first days of Singapore, everything seemed so expensive and was a major threat to the hope of saving a lot. One evening, we were on the Taxi heading to IMM shopping center at Jurong East, as we heard it had been a good place for shopping, to buy some presents for the friends in Myanmar. After going 3 or 4 rounds inside the building, finally we found ourselves in a shop that sells very cheap things not more than 2 dollars per item, and I saw these two Su Buu at one corner. How nice! The childhood habit forced me to buy and I was unable to resist.
On those items, it says kind of 3 hundreds thousands saving in bank. I dropped the first 1 dollar coin, listened to the sound of touching the bottom, and felt myself like a child with full of expectation on saving money. Later, every time I got 1 dollar or 50 cents, I kept myself not to spend and put them in the blue Su Buu. Almost all the past months, I alerted myself and inserted 10, 50, or 100 dollar notes to the other one in white too.
Few days ago, I saw that the blue Su Buu was nearly full and it would not accept any more coins. It does today. With a smile, I pick it up but cannot make it as the box is on very heavy weight now. I notice that it has been 2 years already. How time flies. But I can no longer think about it. Holding the Su Buu with my two hands firmly, I start thinking of how much it is saving for me. Feeling the weight, I am examining the amount. 300$? 500, or perhaps, even 1000$? Wonderful!
There had been doubts, since the first time I dropped the first coin, about to complete filling the Su Buu. Every friend, myself too, believed that it might not be finished; the reason was because we are adult people. Funny? But if you think more, it is reasonable and true for us. Most of the adult people are shy or, they cannot keep their mind on it, to finish this kind of work. I did it because , perhaps, I am still like a child. It is good, anyway, isn't it?
Beside saving easily, let's say, 800 $, I also get a lesson that by doing and finishing pieces by pieces constantly for a long time without over loading, at least we will get some noticeable result for it after that. Sometime we are very greedy; want to be something or to get something in a very short period. Then we emphasize just only on it by using all of our time and full effort. But most of the time, experience says it does not work by any reasons. Time is a very serious factor to consider to achieve our aims.
I have one more Su Buu but do not know how much it is saving. Hopefully, it has now more than a thousand or two. Yay!!!
