It was just after raining, a boy was at the age of 12, and his dad was reading a book, sitting on a chair on the corridor. The rain was just stopped. Because of the sunset, the world was really like a haven of pleasant. Everything was fresh, green, and the fragrant of rained soil, the garish sky made his mind soft. As he walked by, saw a small puddle occurred by the heavy rain, and a group of red ants, usually seen in highland areas, trying to across it. Some of them were running rashly on both sides of the puddle. He was not sure at that time that some other ants were swimming in the puddle or they were struggling to survive in it. As in total, the ants were not less than a thousand. As he closed and looked carefully, than realized they were suffering a big natural disaster.
At first, he was wondering why these small creatures were not choosing the other way because the puddle was just as big as 12 inches in wide and nearly 7 feet long. Several ants were not even stirred anymore and realized he did not have much time to rescue them. After running quickly to a tree near by, and getting several leaves, he was deeply emphasizing to save the poor ants. One, or two, at a time by touching with the leaves and drawing them back to the soil. But there was several numbers of ants in the puddle still, and seemed like they were going to die before the rescuing. A lot of their Ant Society members were also trying eagerly to across the puddle. He then closed the eyes, had to run his brain quickly, effectively, about what to do for them. Finally, his eyes opened with an idea of building a bridge for that poor creatures. A brilliant idea.
But, the first template that he imagined was really like a actual bridge with the bars and the poles. He searched then several sticks and small pieces of ropes to set up to build a bridge. No one could stop, but exactly he. Because, later, he came to realize it would not be easy and quick enough to built in time. He had another factor to consider: hundreds of ants lives. As a clever boy running around the yard, it was easy for him to cope with this kind of problems. He ran to the back of the house and took a broken wood, nearly 8 inches in wide, from a old wooden-box, then placed it across the puddle, and let the ants went over it. A perfect bridge: quick; strong; safety first - for those ants from Singapore; reliable - though no insurance plan from AIG for passer-by. As soon as he had put it in place, a lot of red ants were coming onto and going around. After that he was able to save happily the rest - who were still enjoying in the puddle. At the end of that day, despite there was small amount of causalities, he could manage a perfect resettlement to the victims.
Years later...
That young boy was not a child any more, but a happy, lovely, and bravery man. **[believe it or not]
A very large scale cyclone entered to his country. Thousands of people lost their lives, millions of people lost their homes, and resettlement was an urgent, extremely important and vital needs for them. No foods. No drinking-water. No shelters. No medicine for dying people. People were floating in the water: exactly there were not swimming. Children were crying for starving; looking for their mothers, fathers and siblings. Mothers were feeling heartbroken for seeing their child's starving, but nothing to feed them. All were really emotional. Everyday was full of tragedies, bravery stories, and surprisingly - believe that no one would expect about it - full of upset feeling in all the people mind for being negligible: although the victims had escaped luckily from the killer cyclone.
ံHe was away from his country and expected for a hero - UN, US, FRENCH, UK, ASEAN, whoever even CHINA, the only requirement for them was - had to able to save the people of his country. He prayed, despise he knew it would be impossible, or had too little chances to happen.
Along the human history, people say that truth wins in the end, or, good beats the bad. But now, everywhere, everybody can see evil wins all the time. An obvious example is: all the heroes , expected for help by the people, gave a look with a spark of compassion, and, turned away - because the evil did not allow them to help in. No doubt that more lives were lost. From that time on, he decided he would never expect the heroes at all. He also hoped for that his people would do too. And he deeply understood that to become a good haven for the people, evil will have to be demolished first, and people must be united for doing it. After holding strong base at the certain positions, then they have to try to build a peace, happy and free society in the free land.
More years later....
What will happen to him, his people, and his country?
